Description
The Passer Angelfish, also known as the King Angelfish, is a vibrant, colorful fish found in the eastern Pacific Ocean. It is famous for its striking appearance, with a deep blue body, yellow tail, and a vertical white bar behind its pectoral fin. It is a relatively hardy fish and is popular among aquarists.
Reef Safe
The Passer Angelfish is not considered reef safe. It tends to nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates) and clam mantles.
Environment
The Passer Angelfish requires a large tank with plenty of swimming space. The tank should also have plenty of hiding spots and live rock for grazing. This fish prefers a well-lit tank with a moderate to strong current.
Behavior
The Passer Angelfish is semi-aggressive. It can be territorial and will defend its space against intruders. It is best kept with other fish of a similar size and temperament. This fish is active and likes to swim around in the open.
